Titre : Autonomisation des jeunes par l’amélioration de la formation technique agricole

Contexte : Le Mali est confronté à une crise sécuritaire récurrente depuis 2012, affaiblissant considérablement le secteur de l’éducation et limitant les possibilités d’éducation pour les jeunes. En raison du conflit, de nombreux enfants n’ont plus accès à des services de formation de qualité dans le nord et le centre du pays. L’UNICEF rapporte que 750 écoles sont fermées en raison de l’insécurité dans ces régions, empêchant un quart de million d’enfants de recevoir une éducation. Les populations des zones touchées se sont retirées vers des zones plus sûres du sud , telles que le district de Bamako. L’afflux de jeunes déplacés a entraîné un besoin supplémentaire de centres et de classes de formation , créant d’immenses défis pour les secteurs de l’éducation et de la formation professionnelle.°De plus, il y a peu de corrélation. entre le contenu des cours de formation et les besoins du marché, et l’équipement inadéquat pour les centres de formation.

Activité  : L’agro pastorale est un secteur économique crucial au Mali. L’élevage est la troisième exportation du Mali, mais les pratiques sont dépassées et le secteur dans son ensemble est inexploité. Le Mali a un avantage dans la production animale qui prospérerait avec une meilleure mise en œuvre. La dotation en terres, en climat sec et en eau permet la production de têtes de bétail à un coût par animal inférieur à celui des concurrents régionaux. Un programme de formation à l’élevage dans la chaîne de valeur du lait, de la viande et du bétail est une opportunité prometteuse pour les bénéficiaires. Ce secteur offre de nombreuses possibilités de création de valeur ajoutée et présente un potentiel important de développement futur. Améliorer les conditions de vie socio-économiques des jeunes vulnérables à Bamako, au Mali, en leur donnant accès à une formation professionnelle technique axée sur le marché qui répond aux besoins de l’économie locale. Donner à 70 filles et garçons vulnérables les moyens d’entrer sur le marché du travail avec des entreprises ou dans des emplois indépendants dans les chaînes de valeur agro-pastorales (lait, viande, bétail). Bénéficiaires directs : Au total : 70 jeunes , dont 35 filles et 35 garçons

Contribution Harambee : 20.000 Coût total Eur 21.816

Commentaire : L’institution est absolument fiable. Il a un siège social à New York si facilement joignable. Pour Harambee, le Mali serait un tout nouveau pays . Ils promettent une bonne communication du projet un mois avant le début des travaux. Aucun problème prévisible pour une collaboration avec Harambee

The Harambee Africa International - HAI project, whose general objective aims to "contribute to the improvement of tlte socio-economic living conditions of vulnerable young people tlirouglt ‹iccess to training that meets the needs of the local economy" fits perfectly to the mission of the Center Pere Michel and the provincial project office ADAFO-MALI.

Indeed, the expected results of the project are :
-  The training curricula are diversified with the creation of new Training stream
-  in the agro-pastoral sector (the milk, meat, livestock value chain) to meet the needs of the local economy.
-  The technical and pedagogical skills of teachers are strengthened
-  The entrepreneurial and salaried employment capacities of vulnerable young people are sustainably strengthened,

These are aspects that will increase the positive impact of the action of the Center Pere Michel on the training of our young people and the local economy.

Based on the foregoing, we hereby express our support and Recommendation of the HAI project, and ask the donor, to whom the project will be presented, to pay particular attention to this project and to support the Center Pere Michel and the ADAFO project office in its realization.

CERTIFICATE OF INCORPORATION SALESIAN MISSIONS, INC. UNDER SECTION 402 OF NOT-FOR-PROFIT CORPORATION LAW AND ARTICLE I OF THE RELIGIOUS CORPORATION LAW

The undersigned, for the purpose of forming a corporation pursuant to Section 402 of the Not-For-Profit Corporation Law, Article 1 of the Religious Corporation law, State of New York does hereby ceñify and set forth ;

FIRST : The name of the corporation is : SALESMAN MISSIONS, INC.

SECOND : The corporation is a corporation as defined in subparagraph (a) (5) of Section 102 (Definitions) of the Not-For-Profit Corporation Law.

THIRD : The purpose or purposes for which the corporation is formed are as follows :

1. To help bring the faith of the Roman Catholic Church to all people and contribute to their social and economic development through education ;

8. To publish, print, produce, circulate and otherwise disseminate books, pamphlets, circulars and all other audio and visual materials pertaining to the Roman Catholic Church and its religious principles ;
9. To increase, foster and advance the understanding of religious principles and ideals,
10. To stimulate interest in and foster the religious development of individuals seeking such development ; 11. To assist other organizations, agencies and titutions to achieYe the foregoing purposes ;
12. To engage in charitable achvities and services to benefit the community and missionary works conducted throughout the world ;
13. Nothing herein shall authorize the corporation to operate or maintain a nursery school, kindergarten, elementary school, secondary school, institution of higher education, cable television facility, educational television station pursuant to Section 236 of the Education Law, library, museum or historical society or to maintain an historic site.
14. In furtherance of its corporate purposes, the corporation shall have all the general powers enumerated in Section 202 of the Not-For-Profit Corporation Law, together with the power to solicit grants and contributions for the corporate purposes.
15. Nothing herein, shall authorize this corporation, directly or indirectly, to engage in or include among its purposes, any of the activities mentioned in the Not-Por- Profit Corporation Law, Section 404 (b)-(v).

TENTH : In any taxable year in which the corporation is a private foundation as described in Section 509(a) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, the corporation shall distribute its income for said period at such time and manner as not to subject it to tax under Section 4942 of the Code ; and the corporation shall not(a) engage in any act of self-dealing as defined in Section 4941(d) of the code ; (b) retain any excess business holdings as defined in Section 4943(c) of the Code ; (c) make any investments in such manner as to subject the corporation to tax under section 4944 of the Code ; or(d) make any taxable expenditures as defined in Section 4945(d)ofthe Code or corresponding provisions of any subsequent Federal Tax laws.
